Peppery Pizza Sauce

Well, this is my first real blog! Im gonna end up writing a bunch of crazy stuff here from time to time. But here's one to go! Its a recipe of my own creation for a peppery pizza sauce! It should be enough to make 2 medium pizza's - you can always freeze what you dont use.!

Ingredients :

1/2 finely chopped onion
1 tin chopped tomato's
1tsp Finnes H'erbes
1tsp freshly ground pepper
1tsp garlic puree
1tsp tomato puree
1/2 small red pepper chopped finely
Optional - jalopeno pepper ( as much as you can handle!)
Vegetable or Ham Stock.

Instructions

Heat a frying pan with some olive oil,
when nice and hot put in the finely chopped onion and let them brown a little.
Empty in the chopped tomatoes and stock then let simmer for 5 minutes,
mix in the finely chopped red pepper and add herb's, puree's , salt and the freshly ground
pepper to taste. At this stage you can add your jalopeno for a bit more spiciness.

Let the sauce simmer for a while and it should thicken a little. When you are happy with the texture
of the sauce take it off the heat and let it stand for a while. For best results let it stand for 10minutes
or so before spreading on your pizza base and adding your garnish and cheese!

Hope this works for you!

Nick...
